Thanksgiving Specials

Thanksgiving... A Time To Remember

Rich in history, and rooted in the deepest American sentiments about home and family, this holiday offers lots of opportunities for us to celebrate our Christian heritage as Americans.

FamilyLife presents "Thanksgiving: A Time To Remember," Barbara Rainey's popular book about her favorite holiday, now transformed into a radio special. It's a dramatic telling of the Pilgrim story that the whole family can enjoy.

2pm Hawaii / 6pm Central

"An Unusual

             Thanksgiving"

  with the Brooklyn Tabernacle

Pastor Jim Cymbala of the Brooklyn Tabernacle will focus on being grateful to the Lord in "An Unusual Thanksgiving" and why we should be thanking Him for unusual things.

He will also talk about thanking God for things that DIDN'T HAPPEN, even though we prayed for them... and the fact that God protected us from certain things that we didn't know.

Also featured will be Danny Velasco's testimony.  Danny's testimony has been heard around the world, and many people have come to know the Lord through what He did in Danny's life.

Of course, as with every BT special, music selections will presented by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

4pm Hawaii / 8pm Central

   "Remembering

         Pilgrims"

Moody Broadcasting enthusiastically presents an innovative Thanksgiving special titled, "Remembering Pilgrims."

This one-hour special takes listeners on location to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Unique stereo recordings capture the sounds of the water where Pilgrims first landed, the creaks and groans of the Mayflower II (a full scale replica of the pilgrims' boat).

A colorful palate of engaging interviews, authentic hymns from the era and dramatic vignettes all paint a picture of American history that is profoundly moving and distinctively Christian.
